materials INspect

Material Inspection Visualization Product

Materials inspection requires visualization at a highly granular level in order to be truly effective and accurate.

materialsINspect, a proprietary product of materialsIN (www.materialsIn.com), harnesses data analytics for materials metrology. It merges machine learning and materials informatics with real-time imaging analysis techniques and can be applied to both 2D and 3D images. materialsINspect offers a complete 3D visual inspection of material samples at an extremely high resolution and speed and provides visualization of these images for easy understanding.

The product enables customers to manipulate and display any material sample, define inspection parameters, and inspect anomalies (i.e. micro cracks, holes, etc.). The AI-based system is robust and can allow for detection of multiple layers of anomalies, for instance.

materialsINspect permits extraction of features and rapid quantitative measurements associated with these features.

materialsINspect offers the following functionalities, specifically:

It has the capacity to readily fuse any modeling data of the material that may be available/provided to the images; thus providing a ready, physics-based interpretation of the imaging results.

A key aspect of the materialsINspect capabilities includes a built-in diagnostic capability which permits real-time decision-making to identify key features that govern materials properties. materialsINspect allows for automated benchmarking of imaging data that can be rapidly linked to human expertise and assessment. The computational platform for materialsINspect is flexible and is readily adaptable to different imaging modalities (eg. X-ray, ultrasound and thermal images).

The applications of materialsINspect requires the material specimen have open source file format such as *.hdf5, *.ply, *.pcd, *.txt. materialsINspect operates on Windows and Unix/Linux.
