materialsIN has been awarded a $250K NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub grant to further commercialize its materialsIN VirtualFAB product in the semiconductor space

materialsIN VirtualFAB is an AI-enabled accelerated decision-making product for semiconductor materials fabrication. Specifically, it provides semiconductor manufacturers with the ability to predict both material properties and synthesizability, which is essential to accelerating materials development and application. 

By targeting the synthesis-prediction bottleneck rather than property discovery alone, this STRP aligns directly with the ART program’s objective of accelerating research translation. The resulting platform transforms synthesis planning from a slow, empirical process into a scalable, data-driven decision system capable of delivering measurable industrial impact.

Administered by the Collaboration and Commercialization Center (C3)—a regional partnership led by Syracuse University, Cornell, RIT, University of Rochester, and University at Buffalo—the NY THRIVE program helps companies tap into the region’s most advanced semiconductor innovation resources.
